Police east of Toronto are searching for a suspect after a shooting at a GO Transit station left a man dead Sunday night.

Durham Region police say officers responded to an assist ambulance call at the station in Ajax, Ont., around 11:30 p.m.

They say when officers arrived they found a man in his 20s with gunshot wounds, and he was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he was pronounced dead.
