Police are issuing a Canada-wide warrant for a 34-year-old man wanted for murder after a deadly house fire in Pickering, Ont., last month.
Durham police responded to a house fire on June 11 at around 2:20 p.m. and found a 69-year-old woman dead inside the home.
Investigators ruled the death a homicide a week later and identified two suspects in connection to the murder.
They arrested and charged a 34-year-old woman and are still searching for a second male suspect wanted for second-degree murder.
Police say they believe this is an isolated incident with no threat to public safety.
This marks Durham’s third homicide of the year.
