COURTENAY – Police on Vancouver Island say a pedestrian died following a crash involving a cyclist last month.
Comox Valley RCMP say the cyclist has been identified and investigators were working to uncover further details of the crash and the circumstances leading up to it.
A statement from BC Emergency Health Services says the crash happened on Sept. 16 at around 8:46 p.m. in the 1600 block of Ryan Road in Courtenay.

It says both patients were taken to hospital, one in serious condition and the other in stable condition.
The agency did not provide an update on the status of the cyclist.
Authorities have not identified those involved in the crash.
