Police say a 23-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was killed in an unprovoked attack outside his home north of Toronto.
York Regional Police say they responded to an assault Wednesday evening in Richmond Hill, Ont., and found a man with serious injuries.
The man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the suspect was arrested near the scene and charged with second-degree murder.
Investigators say the 54-year-old victim was outside his residence when he was attacked “without provocation” and it’s believed he and the suspect did not know each other.
The suspect has also been charged with breach of probation.
