Hey there, time traveller!

Luxury can’t be forced.
Rather, it must unfold naturally, with each design feature woven seamlessly into the overall design of a home.
That’s exactly what happens with the A-2351, says Warren Moran, Avanti Custom Homes’ sales representative for the 2,351-square-foot two-storey show home, which can be found at 15 Siskin Bay in Sage Creek.
“That luxury starts with an eight-foot-tall front door that immediately creates a great feeling of space when you walk inside,” he says. “A generous foyer with a huge walk-in closet to the right adds to that feeling of space, giving you or visitors plenty of room to come inside without feeling boxed in.”
As you move forward into the home, a series of little luxuries spread out before you in unforced fashion: a versatile lifestyle room with barn-style door to the left, and a hallway carved neatly into the right-hand wall that’s loaded with style and function.
“People like the lifestyle room, as it gives them an office right on the main floor if they need to work from home,” Moran notes, adding that it could also be used as an in-law suite. “The hallway across the way holds a gorgeous powder room with an eight-foot door, a large mudroom with a door to the garage, and another door that links the mudroom to a walk-through pantry.”
He adds that another subtle design feature at the outset of the main living area makes the free-flowing home flow even more freely.
“Avanti’s design team pulled back the wall that divides the hallway from the main living area to create an eight-foot-wide entrance that makes it extremely easy to access the area. It also opens things up, which creates a real feeling of freedom.”
The main living area itself is well-ordered, bright, and exceedingly spacious.
All three spaces, kitchen, dining area and great room, are well-defined, with plenty of room to move about within and around each space.
Meanwhile, a glass-infested rear wall allows daylight to pour inside, while medium brown vinyl plank flooring adds warmth without blunting the area’s natural brightness.
At the same time, tasteful finishes in the kitchen and great room combine to endow the area with a pleasing, understated elegance.
“The kitchen is stunning,” Moran says. “When people come into it, their eyes immediately fixate on the contrasting grey and black soft close cabinetry — the colours really pop. And the asymmetrical grey glass tile backsplash goes perfectly with the marble-style quartz countertops. A patio door behind the kitchen takes you out to a huge composite backyard deck.”
Then, there’s the family room on the other side of the spacious, centrally located dining room.
“An entertainment unit with electric linear fireplace and built-in TV niche serves as its focal point and is set in a beautiful matte plaster feature wall,” he adds. “The maple shelving on either side features a luxurious touch behind it — a beautiful tile backdrop.”
Take the elegant, four-foot-wide staircase upstairs, and you find an upper level that’s bursting with style and function.
“It starts off with a huge bonus room to the left of the stairs that could be used as a media area, office or library,” says Moran. “Two secondary bedrooms plus a laundry room and four-piece bath were placed down a hallway to the right, while the primary bedroom was placed to the left of the stairs behind the loft.”
In short, the primary bedroom is palatial.
“Plush taupe carpeting and soft earth tones work with three windows around the bed to create a space that’s naturally bright and relaxing. There’s a huge walk-in closet with window and built-in storage, and a beautiful four-piece ensuite with free-standing soaker tub, walk-in shower with herringbone tile surround and black vanity with quartz countertop and dual Kohler sinks.”
Downstairs, the lower level adds between 1,400 to 1,500 sq. ft. of livable space to the intelligently designed family home.
“People are surprised by the amount of space it offers,” he says. “They love the nine-foot ceiling, steel beam construction, large windows and the fact that’s it’s insulated and framed to make way for another bedroom, rec room, bathroom and plenty of storage space.”
Moran says the A-2351 delivers the function that families need without sacrificing style.
“All the available space is used extremely well. It also fits a wide range of a family’s wants and needs and provides the space and style they need to enjoy every moment they spend at home together.”
