With so many homes and condominiums being built at a furious pace these days, you might wonder if there’s still keen attention being paid to detail.
That’s not a worry with RidgeWood West Condominiums, Randall Homes’ latest attached townhome condo project in Charleswood’s RidgeWood West, says Glen Harvey, the sales representative for the condo development.
“I think the first thing that stands out about these townhomes is their exterior,” he says, noting that the show home checks in at 1,500 sq. ft. with a full basement and double detached garage. “With a combination of durable vinyl siding, acrylic stucco and stone detailing, they have a luxurious look to them that gives them great curb appeal.”

This creatively crafted condo is stately, both inside and out.
And while some condos set the bar high with the exterior and then fall flat in terms of layout and finishes, that isn’t remotely the case with this show home.
Step inside and the first impression is that much thought has gone into the main floor layout, the colours, materials and finishes.
“For me, two features really stand out,” says Harvey. “First, you get nine-foot-high ceilings, second, you get huge windows at both ends of the home. They combine to create a spacious, bright feel that makes you feel really good — it’s just so bright and airy and the home flows beautifully from front to back.”
Most importantly, each space — great room, kitchen and eating area — is well proportioned, something that’s critically important with an open- concept floor plan.
There’s a wonderful sense of space, yet each area is distinct.

The island kitchen at 534 Couture Crescent in RidgeWood West is a perfect mix of utility and panache.
The kitchen — the home’s hub — is the main living area’s most distinct space, as it should be.
“It’s absolutely gorgeous with its huge island, quartz countertops, black tile backsplash, off-white cabinets and stainless appliances, which come included with the sale of the home, as well as a washer and dryer,” he says. “Little design details such as a spacious pantry and island with an espresso thermofoil base add to those features, making the kitchen a very special space.”
The two areas on either side of the magnificent kitchen are standouts as well.
The great room is big and features a huge picture window that not only lets in tons of natural light, but also showcases the park across the street.
Then, there’s the eating area, which Harvey calls simply outstanding.

A well-defined and elegant dining room awaits next to the pristine kitchen.
“With many townhome condos, they’re quite small and are in an awkward spot. Not here — the eating area is nice and big and was placed in its own well-defined area. At the same time, it’s just the right distance from the kitchen and natural light pours into it from a big window behind it. There’s also a powder room and area for a main-floor laundry next to the back door behind it.”
Head upstairs via a striking, elegantly finished staircase and the care put into the home’s design continues to be evident.
For starters, there’s a cool design feature at the right of the stairs.
“It’s wonderful loft area,” Harvey says. “It makes a great sitting area or can even be used to put a computer in for kids to use as a study area.”
Another feature that stands out is that, unlike many 1,500 sq. ft. townhome condos, there are three bedrooms, rather than two.“The use of space throughout the home is excellent. Not only is the main floor tremendously livable, but you get two big secondary bedrooms with huge windows and big closets and a spacious, beautifully finished main bath. It feels just like a single-family home.”

The spacious great room offers a lovely view of the park across the street through the grand window on its rear wall.
Finally, there’s the primary bedroom, which is absolutely fabulous.
“It comes with a huge window that looks out onto the park, plus a vaulted ceiling that adds style and a great sense of space. There’s also a beautifully finished three-piece ensuite and a large walk-in closet with built-in storage.”
Add a full basement to the mix, along with a detached double garage and a host of standard features included in the price of the home that most builders charge extra for and you have a well-designed condo that has it all.
“They come in three different plans ranging from 1,350 to 1536 sq. ft.,” Harvey says. “And these condos are your last chance to get into RidgeWood West in an affordable, well-built home.”
