If you vote for almost anyone in this election, it appears there will be more doctors and nurses on their way to a hospital near you.

But does that turn your crank?

Is health care going to be a make-or-break issue for you when you go to the polls?

Did you take notice when Premier Greg Selinger promised to expand the Brandon hospital medical ward or add more Access Centres and QuickCare Clinics to Winnipeg?

Did Tory Leader Hugh McFadyen get your attention with a new Alzheimer’s strategy, and an emergency helicopter for western Manitoba?

Or did Jon Gerrard and the Liberals get you to sit up and take notice with a pledge of new urgent care clinics at emergency rooms to take care of the more mundane medical needs like stitches and throat swabs?

What do you, the voter, think about it all?

Do any of these promises speak to you? What’s missing from the mix in your opinion?

Have you had a particularly good or bad experience with Manitoba’s health care system?

Do you have a brilliant idea for what might help the health care system we cherish and deride at the same time?

Come and Talk the Vote today at 12 p.m. with political reporter Mia Rabson. Share your thoughts online at noon at www.winnipegfreepress.com.
