Country star Morgan Wallen plays Winnipeg next September

Morgan Wallen, whose rise up the country music charts has defied the COVID-19 pandemic and the use of a racial slur in 2021 that was caught on video, will play Canada Life Centre Sept. 28, 2023.

Tickets go on sale Dec. 9 at livenation.com at 2 p.m. Winnipeg time, but there are several pre-sales scheduled for Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. Ticket prices have not been announced.

Wallen, who was a contestant on Season 6 of The Voice talent show,  apologized for using the racial slur shortly after the incident was broadcast on the gossip website TMZ.

In the meantime, his 2020 album Dangerous has made Billboard history, being the longest-running album by a solo artist on the top-10 album charts, surpassing Adele’s 21 and Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA.
