After much intrigue, Winnipeg School Division trustee Joyce Bateman, a longtime Liberal, will be unveiled Friday as the Tory candidate in Winnipeg South Centre.

Bateman will try to unseat Liberal MP Anita Neville in the May 2 federal vote.

Raymond Hall was initially pegged as the candidate for Winnipeg South Centre, but resigned his candidacy in mid-March for unspecified reasons.
