In this amusing 65-minute show, the 30-ish musical comedian works with a microphone, a guitar and a slide show.

When he sings in his clear, high tenor, you’d swear you were listening to a young Loudon Wainwright III. Indeed, anyone who rhymes “God is going to see ya” with “gonorrhea” has clearly been studying the master.

Paulson’s sex jokes tend to be old hat and a touch too graphic, but his recollections of his “husky boy” youth will leave you in stitches. So will the glossy photo of himself looking like “Matt Damon’s lesbian sister.”

A minor technical quibble: His director and co-writer, Virginia Scott, needs to fix the lighting so he’s not casting annoying shadows on the screen behind him.
