The Manitoba Junior Hockey League announced its award winners on Friday and players from the Portage Terriers won three out of six awards.

Portage head coach Blake Spiller won the Muzz McPherson award as the coach of the year, while the Brian Kozak trophy as top defenceman went to Portage’s Tanner Jago and the Lorne “Windy” Lyndon Trophy for hockey ability went to Portage’s Brad Bowles.

The Steve ‘Boomer’ Hawrysh award for league MVP went to the Winkler Flyers’ Tristan Keck, who leads the league in goals with 40 in 55 games.

The top goaltender award went to Nick Deery of the Steinbach Pistons, while the Vince Leah trophy for rookie of the year award went to James Shearer of the Steinbach Pistons.​
