The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced on Friday they’ve signed the following players to futures contracts:
American quarterback Austin Appleby (6-5, 240, Florida)
American linebacker T.J. Neal (6-0, 230, Auburn)

American receiver Malcolm Lewis (5-10, 190, Miami)
American receiver Isaiah Harper (5-11, 170, Old Dominion)
American receiver Tyre McCants (5-11, 230, South Florida)
Their contracts will begin in 2020.Appleby, who spent his first four years at Purdue University before transferring to Florida, most recently spent time with the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football as a backup quarterback before the league folded. Neal spent three seasons at Illinois before transferring to Auburn for his senior year. Lewis was on the Miami Dolphins practice squad between 2017-18. Harper was the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Year in 2017. McCants is tied for second on USF’s all-time touchdown receptions list (16).
