Winnipeg’s Leah Kirchmann finished 36th in the women’s cycling road race at the Tokyo Summer Olympics Sunday.
The 30-year-old Canadian, currently based in Sittard, Netherlands, with her pro team, completed the 137-kilometre course in 3:59.47.
She is also scheduled to compete in the women’s time trial later in the Games.
Anna Kiesenhofer of Austria rode to the gold medal in the road race with Annemiek van Vleuten of the Netherlands and Elisa Longo Borghini of Italy claiming silver and bronze, respectively.
