The Winnipeg Goldeyes will celebrate their 30-year history in the Manitoba capital with an anniversary luncheon later this summer.
And one of the pro baseball squad’s all-time greats, Reggie Abercrombie, will be the guest of honour.
The luncheon will be held Thursday, Aug. 11 at noon at the Fairmont Hotel. The current crop of Goldeyes will be joined by team alumni at the event.
Abercrombie’s #11 jersey will be retired at the Goldeyes game later that evening at Shaw Park when the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks are in town.
Tables and individual tickets are available by contacting Dan Chase at 204-956-3218 or dan@goldeyes.com.
