Winnipeg Goldeyes outfielder Max Murphy hit his 93rd and 94th career home runs against the Chicago Dogs on Wednesday and now holds the Fish’s franchise homers record.

Winnipeg would open up the game in the sixth inning, with Kevin Garcia hitting his first homer of the season. Gary would respond in the bottom of the seventh, but Winnipeg would punch back at the top of the eighth with Ramon Bramasco scoring on a wild pitch.

The Fish turned it up in the top of the ninth. Garcia’s two-run single brought home Ray-Patrick Didder and Jacob Robson before another wild pitch saw Keshawn Lynch make it across home plate. Bramasco’s single would bring home Garcia for the sixth run.

Winnipeg would put up four runs on Saturday, starting in the top of the first with Roby Enriquez’s single bringing home Didder before Gustavo Sosa’s sacrifice fly scored Murphy. In the third, Garcia hit his second home run of the season — and second in two games — to extend the lead. Murphy’s single brought in Bramasco in the seventh. The RailCats would put up a run on the board in the bottom of the ninth, with the Fish taking the second game 4-1.

The bats were silenced for the visitors in Sunday’s matinee finale. Only Garcia would score in the top of the fifth — his third home run on the season — to cut into the RailCats 5-0 lead. But the home side put up four more runs and took the game 9-1.

The Goldeyes, who improved their record on the road to 15-18, are back at home on Tuesday for a six-game homestand, hosting the Sioux Falls Canaries before taking on the Sioux City Explorers in the weekend series at Blue Cross Park.
