The Winnipeg Goldeyes are going to look a lot different the next time they take the field.
The Fish, who wrapped up their 2021 season Monday, introduced a new logo and branding Tuesday.

The cartoon goldeye is no more as the club has updated it's look to a modern design that has simplified the fish — which has a gold coloured eye — in their main logo.
The Goldeyes last introduced a new logo in 2011.
"That logo was great for its time. It's not just us moving away from logos of that design style. Teams throughout North America are doing that as well. It's not a matter of letting go of our past, it's a matter of catching up," said Goldeyes box office manager Paul Duque, who spearheaded the club's rebrand.
"We don't want to discourage fans from wearing the gear that they have. The gear that they've treasured and cherished, we want them to continue wearing that, but we just thought it was time to refresh (the brand) for the next generation of Goldeyes fans."
Pandemic restrictions forced the Goldeyes to spend 2020 as a travelling team based out of Fargo, N.D., and the first half of this season playing out of Jackson, Tenn. The Goldeyes had started their rebranding process prior to COVID-19 and worked with ad agency Victims of Advertising to get the look they desired.
"It was almost one and a half lost seasons with no home games. It was really hard to connect with our fans the same way that we're used to," said Duque.
"Communicating via email, our website, or social media just wasn't the same. Now that (the team) is here, let's build some momentum not just for 2022, but for future seasons."
The Fish haven't finalized their new jerseys and hats, as the ones shown in their promotional video are conceptual at this point. The club is hoping to put the final touches on everything in the coming months and have some new gear on the shelves by the holiday season.
