Sick bay update
Canadian LB Pierre-Luc Labbe suffered a second-degree knee strain against the Argos that could keep him out of the lineup for four weeks. The Bombers have four Canadians on their practice roster who may be activated in his place — OL Lorne Plante, DL Pat MacDonald, DB Steven Holness and DE Shawn Mayne.
Pick central
Jovon Johnson’s two interceptions Friday night gives the Bombers nine on the season. Winnipeg didn’t pick up its ninth interception until the 11th game last season and finished with just 15 all year.
Quotable
"We’re in a tough spot right now. In a season of 18 games there’s moments when both sides of the ball need to help each other out and are going to through some tough times. Right now that’s the situation we’re in and the only way we’re going to get through this is work through it." — Doug Brown.
