Pop’s number safe

Bombers legend Joe Poplawski can rest easy, his number is

still unofficially retired. Comeback kid Troy Westwood wore

Joe Pop’s No. 71 at practice on Tuesday but was in No. 74

on Wednesday and that’s what he’ll wear going forward.

Resting the ‘nicked’

Running back Fred Reid and receivers Terrence Edwards and Brock

Ralph all took the day off from practice drills on Wednesday. Coach Mike

Kelly said, “they’re all nicked, none of them are hurt.”

Anyone need tickets?

The Bombers said late Wednesday

they’d sold just over 19,000 tickets for

Saturday’s home game. The local TV

blackout will be in effect.
