COLLEGE CREDENTIALS: Ranks third in career interceptions at Iowa with 17 — including six during the 2003 season.

CFL RESUMé: Started his career in Saskatchewan… Signed with Winnipeg prior to the 2008 season…Had three interceptions that year, running two of those back for touchdowns…In 2009, set a club record with a 118-yard missed field goal return against Edmonton…Named special teams player of the week three times…His 1,847 return yards were second only to Montreal’s Larry Taylor… Johnson was named the Bombers most outstanding player and a CFL all-star in 2009.

MARITAL STATUS: Engaged

FAVOURITE TV SHOW: Anything on ESPN.

MOST-PLAYED ON MY IPOD: I’m more of an R & B guy, I like to just relax. Usher, Drake — artists like that. I don’t like that banging stuff.

CURRENT VEHICLE: Escalade

FAVOURITE MOVIES: Oh, man. I’ll give you three. The A-Team, that was pretty good. Taken. Menace II Society. There’s too many to name.

WHAT ARE YOU READING RIGHT NOW: Nothing. During the season, I find it hard to get into something.

WORST HABIT: I drink a lot of Pepsi.

JUST PEPSI? NO COKE? Nope. I’ve been a Pepsi fanatic for as long as I can remember.

TALENT YOU’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE: I wish I could sing. I’ve tried but it’s no good. Some probably wish that I would stop trying. (laughs)

THREE THINGS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST: Nothing crazy or anything like that. All travel — Go to Europe, go to Puerto Rico, head down to Chile for a bit.

ROUND OUT YOUR DREAM GOLF FOURSOME: Michael Jackson, Allan Iverson and Deion Sanders.

THE ONE MEAL YOU ALWAYS SEEM TO GET: Chicken with french fries. Never fails.

DO YOU EAT THAT BEFORE A GAME? I try to stay away from that on game day. Usually it’s just pasta.

FAVOURITE TEAMS GROWING UP: Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

WAIT A SECOND. ERIE IS IN STEELERS COUNTRY. YOU CHEER FOR THE COWBOYS? The thing is, everybody in my family is a huge Steelers fan. I go for the Cowboys. Always have.

FAVOURITE ATHLETE AS A KID: Michael Irvin, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith — all those guys from that era.

FAVOURITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL: Math. I was really good at it.

PERSONAL HERO: My mother. Sandra Jordan. She raised me and my little brother by herself, plus she took in six of my cousins. We had a small house, too.

FINALLY, THE BEST THING ABOUT THE CFL: The play clock. Things move quickly, and I love all the passing and the motion. There are a lot of chances to make plays, which I like. The motion is great — the game reminds me of basketball that way. I used to be a point guard growing up, so I’m used to having people running and trying to get by me.
