Hey there, time traveller!

B.C. Lions coach and general manager Wally Buono told quarterbacks Casey Printers and Travis Lulay who would be behind centre in the first half of the home-and-home series against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Saturday night at Empire Field, but he wouldn’t tell anyone else.

“It’ll be obvious at practice (Tuesday),” Buono said.

Lulay stayed largely conservative in Saturday’s win over Calgary, coming in relief of Printers with the Lions holding a large lead. He attempted few deep passes, connecting on only five-of-12, and missing an open throw to Jamal Robertson. Lulay did not have a pass intercepted against Calgary but before losing the starting job threw five picks in three games.

Printers, on the other hand, fumbled three times in the opening half and was benched.

The two B.C. quarterbacks have not thrown as many touchdown passes combined as Bombers’ starter Steven Jyles and have three times as many interceptions.
