LaPolice Tells a White Lie
Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach Paul LaPolice lied to his kicker Sunday — and the kicker delivered.
Having already decided to cut practice short by 40 minutes on Sunday, LaPolice challenged kicker Justin Palardy to make a 52-yard field goal.
“I told Justin, ‘If you make this, we won’t have the last period.’ Even though we weren’t going to have it anyway.”
Palardy delivered to a huge cheer from his teammates, who had no idea the fix was in.
Roughriders Shares For Sale
The Saskatchewan Roughriders are once again selling shares in the club.
The team last week launched the third in a series of share issues, selling individual shares for $250 apiece. There is no limit on the amount the team will sell.
The club sold about 8,500 units in two previous share issues.
