Bad hand

Kick returner Tim Brown left Thursday’s practice early with a cut on one of his hands (between the fingers). The club wasn’t sure if he required stitches, or if he’d be OK to make the trip to Toronto. If Brown can’t play, the return duties would fall to either Deon Beasley, Jovon Johnson or Clarence Denmark.

Roster move

The Bombers trimmed the secondary numbers by one Thursday, releasing import defensive back Arrington Hicks. The 22-year-old saw action in just two games this season. His release suggests that defensive back Johnny Sears is healthy enough to be added to the roster. Sears has missed the entire season with a high ankle sprain.
