“I thought our offence did a pretty good job tonight. They moved the ball well. We lost a receiver early (Wallace Miles, who was hurt on a horse collar tackle), but we were able to carry on. But defensively, we didn’t play very well obviously. We didn’t rush the passer very well and we didn’t cover very well, which is why (Argos QB Ricky Ray) had 505 yards (passing).”

“That last TD pass, I told (Argos head coach) Scott Milanovich: ‘We practiced that all week long because I knew you were going to go to it after watching last week’s film.’ But (Bombers nickelback) Desia (Dunn) was supposed to take it away and he was hurt. And the guy who replaced him didn’t know that position. And in a short week, you don’t get to practice everybody. It was just one of those things.”

BURKE ON WHAT HE INTENDS TO DO ABOUT THE PLAYERS WHO TOOKW ALL THOSE WINNIPEG PENALTIES:

“It will definitely be addressed, extremely heavily. There’s going to be some light pocketbooks this week… I chalk it up to not being able to control your emotions and that’s something you have to do. Football is an emotional game, but you have to be able to control your emotions.”
