Hey there, time traveller!

Brett Carter is getting his second chance to make an impression.
The Winnipeg-born former Rifles receiver — who dressed for one game last year and spent the majority of the season on the practice roster — was back on the field Tuesday after signing a deal Monday night.
Carter initially wasn’t part of the club’s plans for 2014, but when two Canadian receivers were felled by injuries — Cory Watson is nursing a hamstring, Jordan Brescacin was injured and has already been released — the team dug up his number.
“It was an interesting off-season,” said Carter Tuesday. “There was a lot of uncertainty, but I’m glad where it ended up. I didn’t get really too much from the GM as to why I wasn’t coming back.
“It was a little disappointing that I wasn’t asked to come back and a little frustrating. But I kept working hard and preparing for that call. I got it (Monday) morning, so it was a very good feeling. I’m excited. So happy.”
PROGRESS COMING: Here’s Bomber QB Drew Willy on his first few days of training camp:
“Things are going well. I’m throwing the ball really well and feeling really comfortable with coach Bellefeuille’s offence here and I think we’re building on it each day. A lot of guys are making plays out there. It’s a fun part of camp. We’re getting some good things together out there.
“I like what I’m seeing. I’ve thrown with Nick (Moore) before and you’ve got guys like (Clarence) Denmark and Rory (Kohlert)… these guys are good players as well. It’s fun to be around talented guys like this. I’ve thrown a bunch of balls to Aaron Kelly and made a lot of big plays with him, too. I’m just trying to put things together with each guy and get a feel for how they run each route.”
