CALGARY – The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed Canadian receiver Clark Barnes, the CFL team announced Monday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Barnes was eligible to become a free agent on Feb. 10.
The 25-year-old from Brampton, Ont., had a career-high 601 receiving yards with two touchdowns in 14 regular-season games last season.
He added four catches for 73 yards and a touchdown in Calgary’s 33-30 loss to B.C. in the West semifinal.
The University of Guelph alumnus has played 39 games with Calgary over three seasons, accumulating 104 career catches for 1,425 yards and seven touchdowns.
He was a third-round selection by the Stampeders in the 2023 CFL draft.
“Clark has made steady progress over the course of his young career and is a dangerous deep threat for our offence,” Stampeders general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson said in a release. “With three seasons of experience under his belt, we look forward to continued development and to see him to raise his play to an even higher level in 2026.”
