WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed American defensive back Mercy Maston.
The 26-year-old, 202-pound Maston from Bakersfield, Calif., played two seasons for Edmonton in 2017-2018.
During that time, the five-foot, 11-inch Maston recorded 57 tackles, eight special teams stops and two interceptions in 19 games.
Edmonton released him in January to pursue an NFL opportunity with the Philadelphia Eagles.
He appeared in 25 games with five starts, recording 71 tackles and one interception for Boise State.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
