About the Jets: Winnipeg begins a seven-game stretch away from the MTS Centre tonight… The Jets don’t play at home again until Nov. 10… They are coming off a 2-1 home loss to the Rangers, when they gave up two power-play goals. Winnipeg has allowed at least one power-play goal in six of eight starts, a big reason for a 2-5-1 record… D Ron Hainsey, on IR with an upper-body injury, did not travel with the team Wednesday… RW Eric Fehr, who could still be as much as a month away after shoulder surgery, did go with the team.
About the Flyers: The Flyers are coming off Monday’s 4-2 win over Toronto, a costly victory, in that D Chris Pronger received a stick in the eye and might be out two to three weeks…. The Flyers won their first three starts this season… Philly is led by RW Claude Giroux, who has five goals and 10 points… RW Jaromir Jagr, in his return to the NHL this season, has two goals and seven points… G Ilya Bryzgalov, since defecting via free agency from the Phoenix Coyotes, has a 3-2-1 mark so far in his stay in Philly.
