WINNIPEG JETS (4-6-1) AT NEW YORK ISLANDERS (3-4-2)

When: Tonight, 6 p.m.

About the Jets: Have won two of their last three, the setback a 1-0 loss in Tampa to open a seven-game road trip… Kyle Wellwood now leads team with five goals in 11 games — the same total he had in 35 contests last year with San Jose… First-liners Bryan Little and Blake Wheeler still looking for their first goals of the season… After picking up points in six straight, forward Alex Burmistrov has been held off the score sheet in the last two games.

About the Islanders: The Isles are winless in five (0-3-2) since a victory over the Rangers on Oct. 15… This time last year their season tanked with a 1-17-3 collapse that stretched from Oct. 23-Dec. 16… Head coach Jack Capuano needs to get his third line going. It features Josh Bailey, Blake Comeau and veteran Brian Rolston and, combined, they have just two points… The Isles sent 2010 first-rounder Nino Niederreiter to the AHL on a conditioning assignment this week. He was having a good pre-season on a line with Matt Moulson and John Tavares before injuring his groin… Tavares leads the team in scoring with 7G and 4A in nine games.
