AT THE PRUDENTIAL CENTER
Big picture
It’s easy to lament giving up a game-winning goal in overtime — on a breakaway, no less — but considering the circumstances the Jets found themselves in Saturday night, this was a point earned. Big time. Missing so many regulars that a lot of locker nameplates in the Jets’ dressing room were left blank, a team that appeared all but dead and buried heading into the third period against a notoriously stingy Devils team rallied to tie before goofing in OT. But the resiliency shown in Jersey and throughout this season-long road trip is fast becoming this team’s trademark. And there could be worse ways to describe a club.
Little picture
The Jets generated chances but were 0-for-3 on the power play against the Devils. With the roster ravaged, the man advantage still had the chance to be a difference-maker for the visitors. This is a group that needs to start burying some chances in order to keep the good vibe building on this season-long road trip.
Game-breaker
The Jets get caught out of position in overtime when Adam Henrique takes a splendid feed from Zach Parise before racing in on a breakaway to beat Ondrej Pavelec for the winner.
