Hey there, time traveller!

Big picture
It was an attention-getter, alright. Lars Eller woke up the Canadiens with a stellar four-goal night. The Jets fell flat on their faces as they start a road-heavy month of January. The Jets remained stuck in ninth in the Eastern Conference, still at 43 points. Montreal trails that by six points.
Little picture
A game that looked to be close, just 3-2 Montreal heading for the third, got away in a hurry. The Habs scored three times in 50 seconds early in the final period to wipe out Winnipeg hope and leaving the Jets without a single victory this season (0-12-2) when they are trailing after two periods.
Game-changer
Jets defenceman Toby Enstrom mishandled a puck fed from partner Ron Hainsey and the ensuing giveaway went behind Ondrej Pavelec courtesy of Eller’s stick at 2:41 of the third, starting the finish of this game.
