About the Jets
Have reeled off three straight wins, including two at home, in arguably their most critical stretch of the season… This is the third of an eight-game homestand that includes games against Tampa, St. Louis, Edmonton, Florida and Buffalo… The Jets play nine of their next 11 at MTS Centre… Blake Wheeler has eight points (1G, 7A) in his last four games… Bryan Little has four goals in his last two games… Winnipeg has won its three previous meetings with the Flyers: 9-8 on Oct. 27; 6-4 on Nov. 19 and 2-1 on Jan. 31… Goaltender Ondrej Pavelec reached a career high in wins with his 22nd against the Avalanche on Sunday.
About the Flyers
Have traded for two defencemen, Nicklas Grossman and Pavel Kubina, in an attempt to offset the loss of Chris Pronger, gone for the season with a concussion… Are just 3-5-2 in their last 10 after falling 6-4 to Pittsburgh on the weekend… Philly’s 18-9-2 road record is third best in the NHL, behind only Vancouver and the Rangers… Claude Giroux trails Evgeni Malkin by only three points for the NHL scoring lead and is attempting to become the first Flyer to win the Art Ross Trophy as the top point man… The Flyers are 12-12-4 since mid-December and 1-7-1 against NHL powers Boston, Detroit, Pittsburgh and the Rangers.
