When: tonight, 6 p.m at Consol Energy Center
TV: TSN Jets,
Radio: TSN 1290
About the Jets
This is the first of three road games that could mitigate some of the damage of Sunday’s home loss to Carolina, when the Jets blew a third-period lead and lost outright for the fourth time this season… Winnipeg’s record away from home, 11-19-4, is among the worst in the NHL… C Nik Antropov, having scored in three straight games, left Sunday’s contest with an injury and is not with the club on this trip… RW Antti Miettinen scored his first two goals of the season in a losing cause on Sunday… Special teams will be a focus this week — Winnipeg on the road has the worst power play in the league and is ranked 26th in penalty killing.
About the Penguins
The Penguins head into tonight’s contest off an overtime loss in Philadelphia that snapped their 11-game winning streak… The streak brought Pittsburgh (23-4-2 in the last 29 games) to within a point of the Eastern Conference overall lead going into Monday’s play… C Sidney Crosby is three games into his latest comeback. He was held off the scoresheet Sunday but has five points in the three games… The Penguins have won two of the three previous games against the Jets this season, including the latest, an 8-5 win at home Feb. 11.
