ABOUT THE FLYERS

Philly is coming off a 5-2 loss to Florida, a game in which goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov was yanked after the Panthers scored three times in the first 10:15.

The Flyers have given up the first goal in 10 of their 19 games and are 0-7 in those games. “I wish I could give you an answer to that,” defenceman Nicklas Grossmann told NHL.com when asked about the slow starts. “It has been something we have been talking about. It’s something we want to get better at.”

The Flyers, like the Jets, are dealing with some injury issues as Scott Hartnell (foot), Jody Shelley (hip), defenceman Andrej Meszaros (shoulder) and goaltender Michael Leighton (finger) are all on the mend.
