ABOUT THE STARS
— The Stars come to town off a second straight loss, 3-1 Thursday in Nashville. Dallas has only three wins in the last 10 games.
— Thursday’s game against the Predators turned on one minute late in the first period, when the Stars’ 1-0 lead evaporated as the Predators converted both sides of a five-on-three power play. The two-man advantage was created when Dallas defenceman Brenden Dillon shot the puck over the glass seven seconds after teammate Shawn Horcoff was sent off for high-sticking.
— After Thursday’s play, Dallas, Nashville and Winnipeg each had 33 points as the bottom liners of the Central Division. Dallas has played 30 games, the Jets 33.
— Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen, once an Atlanta Thrashers draft pick, is certainly holding his own this season, sporting an 11-7-5 record, with a 2.42 GAA and a .921 save percentage.
— The Stars have a 4-1 win in Winnipeg and a 2-1 shootout loss at home against the Jets so far this season. Dallas is 2-6-3 vs. Central opponents.
