About the Panthers
— The Panthers arrive straight from Ottawa, where they met the Senators Thursday night. They were 6-1 in their last seven heading into Ottawa, including the 5-2 over the Jets in Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 5.
— Brian Campbell ranks third among NHL defencemen for average ice time at 27 minutes 22 seconds, behind only Ryan Suter of Minnesota (29:37) and Ottawa’s Erik Karlsson (27:39).

— Defenceman Dylan Olsen, who scored his first career goal against the Jets earlier this month, had a five-game point streak (3G, 3A) snapped against Montreal on Sunday.
— Veteran netminder Tim Thomas has been battling a groin injury, but is back skating and is scheduled to come off the injured list in time for the game against the Jets.
— Florida placed forward Jesse Winchester on the injured list this week after he injured his hand blocking a shot Sunday in Montreal.
— The Panthers, prior to last night, were 10-8-1 since firing Kevin Dineen and replacing him with Peter Horachek on Nov. 8.
