About the Bruins

The Bruins roll into Winnipeg after falling 4-3 in a shootout to the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul Tuesday night. The Wild tied the game with 65 seconds left and the net empty on a goal by Ryan Suter and Mikko Koivu was the only player to score in the skills competition.

— Boston got goals from Reilly Smith and Loui Eriksson, both on the power play, and Patrice Bergeron. Smith’s goal ended a shutout streak of 145:15 for Ilya Bryzgalov that included Monday’s win over the Jets.

— The Bruins have locked up the top seed in the Eastern Conference and opted to rest Jarome Iginla and David Krejci, their top two scorers, against the Wild.

— Boston is a jaw-dropping 16-1-3 in its last 20 games, including a 15-0-1 streak from March 2 to 30. — Bergeron’s goal against the Wild extended his point streak to 12 games (10G, 6A). On Tuesday, the Bruins blew a lead heading into the third period for just the third time this season.
