The Hawks lost 5-2 to Columbus Friday night, their fourth straight game against a team not in the playoff picture. Chicago is 1-3 in those games, including a 4-1 loss to the Flyers in Philly Wednesday.

Chicago is 24-2-0 when leading after the first period and 23-0-0 when leading after the second period this season.

The Hawks’ plus-37 goal differential is fourth-best in the NHL, behind only New York Rangers (+54), Tampa Bay Lightning (+46) and St. Louis Blues (+44).
