Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 09/01/2016 (3558 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
ABOUT THE SABRES
The Sabres, one of the least-travelled teams in the league this season, continue a three-game trip outside their time zone today. They started it with a 3-1 loss in Chicago on Friday night in Chicago. Seven of the team’s next 10 are on the road.
Today’s game here is the first of two this season between Buffalo and Winnipeg; the other coming March 26 in Buffalo.
The Sabres have now lost six straight, all in regulation. In the skid, the Sabres have scored just eight goals. Four of those losses came at home.

In the last four games, four of Buffalo’s six goals have come on the power play. Prior to that outburst, the team’s power play hadn’t connected in seven games.
The game will mark the return of forward Evander Kane and defenceman Zach Bogosian in the first game against their former teammates. Kane has been quiet of late, goalless and pointless in five games prior to recording an assist on Friday. Bogosian has missed the first 17 games of the season due to injury but has been playing steadily more than 20 minutes per game since returning.
Rookie C Jack Eichel has made a mark so far this NHL season, recording 13-13-26 in the first 40 games. He is second in team scoring to C Ryan O’Reilly (17-18-35).
