LW Kevin Fiala scored at 5:37 of the second overtime period to lift the Predators to a 5-4 win over the Jets and even the Western Conference semi-final series 1-1. Fiala, the lone Nashville scorer in a 4-1 loss in Game 1, raced to the net, took a pass from Craig Smith and flipped the puck over goalie Connor Hellebuyck.

C Ryan Johansen scored a pair of goals for the hosts, beating Hellebuyck just 27 seconds into the game and then giving Nashville a 4-3 lead just under six minutes into the third period. D P.K. Subban and LW Viktor Arvidsson also scored.

The club’s top trio of Johansen, RW Filip Forsberg and Arvidsson, held in check in Game 1, amassed eight points Sunday night.

Veteran C Mike Fisher had a couple of tremendous scoring opportunities but couldn’t find the handle. He was a sparkplug on the fourth line, dishing out three hits. His wife, country music sensation Carrie Underwood, sang the U.S. national anthem prior to Game 2 at Bridgestone Arena.

RW Austin Watson, who left the first game early with an undisclosed injury, was in the lineup Sunday on a forward unit with C Nick Bonino and LW Colton Sissons. Watson had four hits and a couple of shots in nearly 22 minutes of ice time. Bonino, up the middle on the checking line, finished a team-worst -2.

G Pekka Rinne, pulled after two periods in the series opener, looked shaky at times Sunday but shut the door in nearly 26 minutes of overtime, turning aside 14 shots. He finished with 46 stops and a .920 save percentage.
