Hey there, time traveller!

The biggest Fish of all is holding off on retirement and coming back to the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
Reggie Abercrombie, the all-time American Association leader in home runs and RBI, will once again be in his familiar place in centre field at Shaw Park this summer. Abercrombie, 36, signed a deal Wednesday to return for a fifth season.
Like fine wine, Abercrombie seems to actually be getting better with age. He hit .272 last season with 16 home runs and 82 RBI, which were second-most in the league. He also stole 20 bases and scored 72 runs, showing there’s plenty of life left in his legs as well.

Abercrombie was a key part of helping the Goldeyes win a second straight league championship. He hit a pair of long balls and drove in 10 in nine playoff games.
The Georgia native has hinted at hanging up his cleats the past couple years, but keeps coming back for more. He will become just the 11th player to spend at least five seasons with the Goldeyes.
