SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. – Noah Morneau and Ilya Protas each had two goals and an assist as the Windsor Spitfires downed the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-1 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.

Windsor now leads the best-of-seven first-round series 3-1.

Protas had the eventual winner in the second period as the Spitfires rattled off four unanswered goals. Protas also scored into an empty net with 21 seconds left to play.

Joey Costanzo made 23 saves for the win.

Travis Hayes was the lone scorer for Sault Ste. Marie. Nolan Lalonde stopped nine of the 10 shots he faced in 17:18 of play. Landon Miller came on in relief, turning aside 12-of-14 shots he faced.

Windsor went 1 for 3 on the power play and the Greyhounds couldn’t score on their three man advantages.
