BELLEVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA – Egor Sokolov scored twice and added two assists as the Belleville Senators beat the Rochester Americans 7-3 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.
Jacob Bernard-Docker had back-to-back goals to start the first period for Belleville (2-3-0), the AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators.
Andrew Agozzino, Colby Williams and Jake Lucchini rounded out the attack as Kevin Mandolese made 30 saves for the win.
Lukas Craggs, Michael Mersch and Mason Jobst replied for Rochester (2-2-0), while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 23-of-29 shots.
The Senators could not score on their two power plays and the Americans were 1 for 6 with the man advantage.
