Jonathan Toews picked up his fifth assist of the Olympic men’s hockey tournament and was plus-3 in Canada’s 8-2 victory over Germany. Duncan Keith had two assists and was also plus-3.

Winnipeg-born Danielle Poleschuk crashed in the quarterfinals of the ski cross and finished 19th.

John Morris, Kevin Martin and our Team Canada curling foursome completed the round-robin with a perfect record courtesy a 10-3 victory over China.

Big game for Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith and the rest of our Olympic men’s hockey squad as they face Germany in a qualification game at 6:30. Winner advances to face Russia on Wednesday.

Carolyn Darbyshire of Arborg/Portage and the rest of Team Canada’s curling squad improved to 7-1 with a 6-5 extra-end win over Great Britain and were facing Russia on the late draw.

Megan Imrie of Falcon Lake, in her final Olympic event, helped Canada’s women’s 4×6 km relay team to a 15th place finish with a time of 1:14:25.5
