MONTREAL – CF Montreal has signed Canadian midfielder Samuel Piette to a three-year contract for 2023, 2024 and 2025, the Major League Soccer club announced Friday.
The 27-year-old Piette has played the past six seasons in Montreal, appearing in 143 games. The native of Repentigny, Quebec, on Montreal’s north shore, registered two goals and 10 assists during that time.
During Montreal’s 2022 campaign, Piette played 26 games and posted a career-best passing rate of 90 per cent.
Before joining CF Montreal, Piette played a total of 46 games in Spain’s third division between 2015 and 2017, including 32 with CD Izarra in 2016-17.
