A second person has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the killing of a 20-year-old man last year.
Victoria Lee Andrews, 26, of Winnipeg was arrested at the Women’s Corrections Centre in Headingley — where she was being held on an unrelated matter — on Tuesday.
Christopher Kyle Wattman, 36, was arrested July 7.
Brooklyn Elijah Hiebert, 20, was dead when police were sent to the 200 block of Flora Avenue after a report of “suspicious circumstances” on Dec. 30.
The victim was assaulted on the 200 block of Selkirk Avenue before his body was abandoned on Flora, police said previously.
At the time of her arrest, Andrews was before the court on charges of possession of stolen property, impaired driving, drug possession and failing to attend court. Her lone conviction appears to be for simple drug possession, for which she was fined $200.
