TRAIL, B.C. – The RCMP’s major crime unit is asking for the public’s help in investigating the death of a woman almost a month ago in Trail, B.C.

Police say 38-year-old Laura Morrison was the front passenger in a 2023 white Ford F-150 late on Jan. 9 when she reportedly fell from the moving vehicle.

They say a man from the pickup was observed at the scene before driving away.

Morrison’s injuries were serious and police say she was taken to hospital but later died.

Police say the driver was known to the woman and they are trying to confirm the circumstances leading up to her death to determine if anything criminal was involved.

RCMP say they’re looking for anyone with in-car video or closed-circuit TV of the evening of Jan. 9 on Rossland Avenue between 3 p.m. and midnight.
