Two teens are facing charges after police say rocks were thrown at moving vehicles in Markham, Ont., causing a serious crash last year.
Provincial police say officers received multiple reports of rocks being deliberately thrown by a passing vehicle or person from Sept. 20 to Nov. 30, 2024.
Police say one of these incidents resulted in a serious collision, in which two individuals suffered life-threatening injuries.

In another incident, a rock was thrown at the windshield of a bus travelling on Highway 48, north of Major Mackenzie Drive in Markham, but no one was injured.
Similar incidents were also reported to police in York Region.
Police say two 18-year-old men, from Markham and Richmond Hill, were arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault, two counts of mischief endangering life and mischief damage to property.
