PICKERING – Police say a man wanted for murder on a Canada-wide warrant after a house fire in Pickering, Ont., nearly two months ago has been arrested.
Durham police responded to the fire on June 11 at around 2:20 p.m. and found a 69-year-old woman dead inside the home.
Investigators ruled the death a homicide a week later and identified two suspects.
Police say they arrested a 34-year-old man on Friday and he has been charged with second-degree murder.
They also arrested a 34-year-old woman in June and charged her with accessory after the fact to murder.
Police say a bail hearing has already been held for the man.
