BRAMPTON – A man sought on a Canada-wide warrant in a Toronto-area homicide has been arrested.

Peel regional police say the 41-year-old suspect was wanted for first-degree murder and was arrested and charged on Monday.

He is being held for a bail hearing.

Police say the charge stems from a shooting in Brampton, Ont., in the early hours of May 11, 2024.

They say officers found a victim with gunshot wounds and took him to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The victim has since been identified as 43-year-old Dayne Gordon of Toronto.
