The Winnipeg Jets have released their roster for the upcoming rookie development camp but a name that isn’t on it has created the most buzz.

Patrik Laine, the second-overall pick in last Friday’s NHL Draft, is recovering from minor knee surgery and won’t be on the ice during the camp, which runs Sunday to Thursday at the MTS Iceplex. The big Finnish winger, expected to crack the Jets roster this season, is in Winnipeg and played in Mark Scheifele’s charity golf tournament Monday.

An intra-squad game is set for Tuesday at 6 p.m. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold – at $10 apiece – with the proceeds going to the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy. They’re available at Jets Gear stores.
